I'm Gonna Walk the Walk.

Here it is.  The day has come...

About a week ago my sweet photographer friend, Britt, from Falling Star Photography, reached out to me to see if I'd "model" for her ... in my skivvies!

My brain immediately thought "WHAT?!  What the crap is that...a week?!  I should have started going to the gym about 10 years ago... And my (lack-of-a) tan?!  Oh mah god.  There's no way.  And my eye brows, good lord I need a good eye brow wax.  And, and, and...."

I think it comes automatically (to most) to be nervous in front of a camera, or at least it does to me.  And when I started thinking about it, I thought back to many people that voiced their nervousness to me throughout my career -- "Ohhh gosh, don't get that part of my body!"  Or, "Welllll...what do you have open next month so I can fix xyz.."  Or, "Man, I really would love photos of my sweet family but I'm just not ready..."

And then my brain hopped onto one of those thought trains, you know, how brains do.  And somehow I had gone from thinking about how nervous I was to strip down, in front of a camera, after baby-number-two --- to thinking that if I encourage people to hop in front of my camera on the daily, and to be confident in themselves and their beauty, then I better walk the walk.

I mean ... life is just way too short right?  Life is too short to be embarrassed and shy about our bodies.  Life is too short to chicken out of fun things that we want to do deep down.  Life is too short to not capture it!

So here it goes ... my skivvies are ready ... my legs are shaved ... and there's no turning back now.  I'm stepping out of my comfort zone, for my sweet friend, for my wonderful husband, and for myself!  I may or may not be trembling with nerves ... but I'm going to do it.  (On repeat in my head: you can do this, you can do this, you can do this!)

And, I encourage you to do the same -- schedule that photo session, whatever type of session it is.  Are you procrastinating?  Are you saying you'll do it when xyz is perfect?  Stop it!  Appreciate your beauty (because you are beautiful!), and just do it!  =)  And, let me know how it goes!
