Hi my friends! Are you all hanging in there? We’re all very well aware at this point that COVID-19 has had a huge effect on the world this year. It seems as though every single thing has been impacted, including… weddings! If you’re a couple that has needed to reschedule your wedding day, let me first just send you the biggest hug ever! (An air hug, obviously! ;) ) My heart goes out to you as you navigate the todos, the stress, the emotions, and all the things that come along with something wild like this! I’d love to help in any way I can - and today I have written up some of my favorite wedding venues in Albuquerque and Santa Fe in case you’re on the hunt today.

And if you’re not dealing with a reschedule - just planning away for your future wedding day… HOORAY! This list will help you too! Sending you ( air ) hugs while you daydream!

Alright - lets get to it! I love all of these venues and have chosen to include them on this list because they have either impressed Dominic and I in how they handle their event space, treated us well as people, have gorgeous portrait locations making dreamy images for you - or all of the above! :)

Hyatt Tamaya

Tamaya is such a beautiful wedding venue location just north of Albuquerque. The resort holds multiple areas for breathtaking ceremonies and super fun reception options; like The Cottonwoods where you can hold your cocktail hour under the string lights by the gazebo, with a stunning mountain view! Or near the Red Rocks where your guests can dance the night away under the moon! And added bonus: the portrait location options are endless, and we absolutely love working here every time!

Hotel Albuquerque / Hotel Chaco

Hotel Albuquerque and Hotel Chaco are right next door to each other - and we see them being used together often! They’re both incredible venues on their own - and together, the options are endless! Hotel Albuquerque has the most beautiful vine archway that can hold ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, and portraits alike - with a courtyard adjacent that lets your guests mix and mingle depending on what part of the day it is. Hotel Chaco has the most stunning bridal suites (and groom getting ready rooms), and a rooftop that you can hold your events on! How cool is that?! You can’t go wrong wherever you chose between these two venues options, every corner you turn will take your breath away!

Los Poblanos

If you know anything about Los Poblanos you know it is DRRRREAMY! Every pathway, every detail… straight out of a lovely, gardeny, beautiful dream! The portrait locations are pure heaven, the views are amazing, and there are often 4-legged-photo-bombers! (Think the cuuuuutest llamas ever!) I die! I love this venue so much, and I love that it’s such a treat for your out of town guests to stay here! With their beautiful property, adorable farm shop, and even bicycles available to borrow - your guests will have so much fun!

Four Seasons

Ohhh Four Seasons! I decided to add Santa Fe to this list just for FS - because it’s absolutely gorgeous there! Every bit of the property is lovely, and it has the cutest little casitas for couples to get ready. There is the most gorgeous terrace where the New Mexico sunset will take your breath away! The perfect blend of romantic and adventurous, it’s definitely one of a kind and the sweetest spot to hold your wedding in Santa Fe! Extra bonus: they have guided hikes and fun excursions for everyone to enjoy while they’re visiting!

Destination

If you know us at all, you know we have a special soft spot for Destination weddings! We always leave with the fullest hearts and so many incredible memories. We love photographing stunning locations and capturing wonderful moments - but our favorite part of it all is getting to know the families so well! Often times we spend a couples days before and/or after hanging out at the resort / the beach / excursions - and it’s always a blast when we get to hang with the couples family! We joke that they’re all under strict instructions that they must adopt us because we have such a great time, haha! Anyway - destination weddings can be a total dream, so much fun, and if we’re being honest - often times LESS STRESSFUL!! Can you believe it?! We find that everyone is in “vacation” mode, which helps family and friends feel calm and present for your wedding day/weekend! Instead of spending the weekend fighting traffic, or squeezing in other commitments… everyone is enjoying the beach (and the cocktails!) together! :)

We can personally recommend the following locations for dreamy destination wedding days:

We’ve built our business right here in Albuquerque, NM while building our family - but the state lines don’t hold us in. We love traveling to new places to photograph weddings, partner with Airbnb’s / Resorts, find new places to eat tacos (duh!), and a whole bunch of other fun stuff. If you’d like to chat about any of the above, holler! We’d love that! Until then, sending hugs!
